Crye-Leike, one of the largest real estate groups in the Southeast, has launched a new program aimed at encouraging realtors to identify families in the community facing foreclosure and help them find a solution.

 

According to the Mortgage Bankers Association, 50% of those who lose their homes to foreclosure have never once contacted the lender.

 

Jai Lipscomb has been a realtor for six years.

 

She said she was shocked to learn so many people facing foreclosures didn't ask for help.

About a week ago, a woman called Ellis Rankin, an associate broker at Crye-Leike Inc., about one of his advertisements offering help with lease/purchase transactions and rental homes.

 

The woman needed a place to live, and as Rankin began asking her questions, she told him her home was scheduled for foreclosure in January. The woman, who lived in her house for 20 years, had fallen behind on her payments and figured there was nothing to do but look for a place to rent.

 

Rankin visited the woman at her house and suggested she call the bank about ways to avoid foreclosure. Rankin even spoke to the bank on her behalf, saying the woman wanted to stay in the home and would need some kind of loan workout or modification to get back on tr...

NASHVILLE, TN., - Crye-Leike, REALTORS is proud to announce that Associates from the company's Brentwood East Branch office will sponsor a showing of the Classic Christmas movie "Miracle on 34th Street" happening at the Belcourt Theater on Saturday, December 6th at 12:30 p.m. Proceeds will go to benefit Vanderbilt's Camp Hope for kids who have been injured by burns.

 

Associates from Crye-Leike's Brentwood East branch office located at 5055 Maryland Way will partner with the company's Brentwood Realty Title Corporate Office and Magna Bank in Brentwood to raise funds for Camp Hope. David Lorenz, Paula Walker, Carolyn Davison, and Jack Jernigan from Crye-Leike's Brentwood East office are organizing the event in collaboration with Charge Nurse and Camp Hope Director Rebekah Lemley and Dr. Jeffery Guy, who is the Director of the Vanderbilt Regional Burn Center.
