BRENTWOOD, TN., - For many years the Realtors in Crye-Leike's Brentwood West Regional Headquarters office have sponsored a blood drive for the American Red Cross - and this year they will keep that tradition alive in a time when many Nashville charities need the help of businesses and the public now more than ever.

"Disasters like the unusual Nashville flooding shine light on why donating to organizations such as United Way and the Red Cross is such an important thing to do," said Crye-Leike Broker and Blood Drive Coordinator Jim Heidenway. "For these organizations, donations are vital to their survival and their ability to help those who need it most in times of terrible tragedy."

The Realtors work with buyers and sellers in the community everyday and giving back to the community by supporting charities like the American Red Cross has always been...

MURFREESBORO, TN., - While some working professionals might cringe at the thought of embarking on a 2nd career in the current recession, Murfreesboro's Dave Davis is embracing it. The former food industry manager has joined Crye-Leike Murfreesboro as a new associate - and with an ongoing eagerness to serve the community in more ways than just selling real estate.

"I took early retirement a few years ago after 26 years in management with the Kroger Company and Heritage Farms Dairy," said Davis.  "I'm excited and blessed to begin my new 2nd career with Crye-Leike and am looking forward to providing the highest level of quality real estate services to our community and my friends."

In the short time he's been out of the corporate world and before joining Crye-Leike, Davis helped launch the Life Enrichment and Recreation Network (LEARN). The nonprofit outreach group - he assisted in cofounding - provides year-round sports and activ...

The Realtors in Crye-Leike's Grove Oklahoma sales office are thankful to everyone who stopped by the office on Thursday, May 19th for a charity picnic luncheon.

The sales associates put on their chef hats and grilled up hamburgers and hot dogs in hopes of raising big bucks for the Christian Help Center.  Everyone who bought a $5 lunch ticket enjoyed a picnic lunch including side dishes, chips, desserts and drinks.

Thanks to many purchased lunch tickets and some additional generous contributions, Crye-Leike Realtors in Grove raised $1,000 for the local Christian Help Center - an organization which helps any and all persons and families in need of food.

Now, that tax credit has expired, and sellers, prospective buyers and Realtors are looking ahead to a new kind of marketplace ? or at least a return to familiar days.

Homebuyers rushed to take advantage of the government incentives and record-low mortgage rates in April, giving the nationwide housing market its biggest boost in five months.

In Clarksville, the homebuyer tax credit has been described as an effective business tool, although many here say this market is so unique compared to the nation, that the tax credit itself had lesser impact here than in other areas of the country.

"In general terms, our market has alway...

BRENTWOOD, TN., - Since obtaining his Tennessee real estate license in 1987, Broker David S. Cornwell, Sr. has had the pleasure of helping hundreds of families find a place to call home across Middle Tennessee.  After more than 20 years in the business he's now looking forward to making the dream of homeownership come true as a sales associate with Crye-Leike, REALTORS in Brentwood.

"I've known Cofounder Harold Crye for several years and have always respected him personally and professionally," said Cornwell.  "As I see it, he and Cofounder Dick Leike offer their real estate agents more tools to work with than any two or three companies combined."

And Cornwell should know.  After launching his career with John M. Green's real estate office in Franklin in 1987, his career path took him to Coldwell Banker Green Hills and eight years later he launched his own Coldwell office in Fairview. After selling his firm in 2000 Cornwell m...
