SMYRNA, TN.- Realtors in Crye-Leike's Smyrna office continued their tradition of hosting a chili cook-off and silent auction fundraiser this fall and had another very successful event.

 

Agents from the office dusted off their cookbooks and prepared their favorite chili recipes in hopes of winning the honor as 'Best Chili Cook' and in hopes of helping raise lots of money for charity like they have done in past years for several local organizations.

 

Crye-Leike's 9th annual chili cook-off supper and silent auction collected $2,081for charity. All of the proceeds from the 2012 chili fundraiser were donated to the Smyrna - LaVergne Food Bank. Crye-Leike's Smyrna agents were excited to learn the money they raised will go to support an average of 18 families and 54 people a day who are assisted by the local food bank.

Local real estate agents possibly put 17.13% more money in their pockets in October, thanks to active buyers and higher home prices from the same month in 2011.

 

Agents across Benton and Washington counties sold 470 homes in October with a value of $84.44 million, compared to $69.973 million for 420 sales in the year-over-year period, according to MountData.com.

 

One of the largest firms in Northwest Arkansas, Crye-Leike Real Estate, reported $28 million in Northwest Arkansas sales for October, up 18% from the prior year. CEO Harold Crye said unit sales also rose 23% in this market.

 

Year to date, Crye said his local agents have rung up $273 million in sales - a 16% jump from a year ago.

 

The local good news is part of a bigger trend according to Crye, who said company-wide his firm did 21% more business - $380 million - in October than last year.

For the past 35 years, Crye-Leike Realtors have been assisting home buyers and sellers with all of their real estate needs while also lending a helping hand to their neighbors in need.

 

In order to jumpstart its annual United Way campaign, Crye-Leike organized a pumpkin decorating contest this fall. Agents and employees gathered up their arts and crafts supplies and carving tools to decorated a pumpkin for a good cause.

 

Crye-Leike's pumpkin decorating contest collected $400 for United Way and was a fun event to kick off the company's 2012 personal pledge campaign for United Way.

Laurel, MS., - Crye-Leike Premier Properties was recently excited to celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony with assistance and attendance from the Laurel Chamber of Commerce and the Jones County Economic Development Authority.

Broker and owner Sue White decided that working with Crye-Leike, REALTORS would be a great move to enhance her office's business and better serve their customers.
