Crye-Leike Columbia to Hold Gospel Music Revue Oct. 29th as United Way Benefit for Hurricane Victims
Columbia, Tenn. - Sounds of gospel music will fill the air around the Rippavilla Plantation Amphitheatre in Spring Hill on Sat., October 29, 2005 when Crye-Leike, Realtors' Columbia branch office brings some of the top names in the gospel music business to the area as a United Way fundraiser.
Crye-Leike's "Gospel Music Revue" will benefit local partner United Way agencies that are assisting hurricane victims in Middle Tennessee.
Nationally renowned, Emmy and Dove Award Winner David Phelps leads the talent list, which also includes Katie Giguere; Tan? Miller; and the father-daughter duo Diane and Anthony Carter; Trinity Church's Flames of Fire Dance Troupe, as well as other special guest performances.
It's Crye-Leike's first fund-raising concert, says event co-chairman Ron Keiser, a Crye-Leike sales associate affiliated with Crye-Leike's Columbia branch office.

Crye-Leike's Joe Spake Appointed to Memphis City Beautiful Commission
Memphis, Tenn. - Mayor Willie W. Herenton recently appointed one of Crye-Leike, Realtors' own, Joe Spake, to the Memphis City Beautiful Commission for a two-year term. This will be Spake's third term serving on the commission.
In his previous terms, Spake was influential in getting the Memphis Area Association of REALTORS involved in some of the commission's activities, including the "Planting the Town Red" campaign.
One of Spake's most notable contributions to the commission is bringing "The Litter Index" to Memphis. Keep America Beautiful created this program as a means to make litter prevention easier for communities. The index is a credible and simple tool that allows quick and reliable visual assessment of the types of litter present in various neighborhoods.
